minority shareholder is at the club’s training ground today and has scheduled talks with for the first time since his investment in the Red Devils was announced.

On Eve, the club confirmed that the board had accepted a £1.3bn bid from Ratcliffe and his INEOS partners for a 25% stake in the club.

The deal, which needs to be ratified by the Premier League, will be completed in the next three to six weeks.

As part of the deal, Ratcliffe will be given full control of football operations at the club.

Sir Dave Brailsford, head of performance at INEOS, has been at the club’s last two matches and he’s set to be given an integral role under Ratcliffe.

Ten Hag admitted last week that he was yet to speak to Ratcliffe as he wanted to focus on United’s busy festive period.

But the 71-year-old was in the north-west today to visit Old Trafford and the club’s training ground.

United’s players have today off, and it’s unclear if Ten Hag was at the training ground to meet Ratcliffe.

But talks will occur this week, as Ratcliffe gets to grips with the behind-the-scenes order of play at the club.

Jean-Claude Blanc, the former PSG and Juventus director, is expected to become the club’s new CEO and to work alongside Brailsford at board level.

Ratcliffe has committed around £235m to upgrade Old Trafford in the coming years, though the stadium is likely to need at least three times that amount to meet the upgrades it requires.
