will prioritise repairing the relationship between and when his investment at is confirmed.

The British billionaire is set to pay around £1.4bn for a 25% stake in the club, in a move that will give him control of football operations.

While a deal could be announced this week, it will take another six to eight weeks to go through.

Until the point of completion, Ratcliffe will be unable to take up a position at the club but he’s keen to get to work straight away.

Sancho hasn’t played for the club since being left out of United’s trip to Arsenal in early September, when Ten Hag said he overlooked the winger due to his performances in training.

Sancho took umbrage with those comments, claiming he was being made a ‘scapegoat’. Though the winger has since removed his post on social media, he is yet to apologise to Ten Hag and has been training alone away from the first team ever since.

The winger, a £72million signing from Dortmund in 2021, has failed to live up to expectations since joining the club but he’s one of the best paid players in the division on around £270,000-a-week.

United would struggle to recoup that cash as there is a shortage of suitors for Sancho, and few clubs in Europe could afford his wages.

The Daily Star therefore say Ratcliffe will look to mend the relationship between Ten Hag and Sancho.

While that may not result in Sancho reviving his career at United, Ratcliffe at least wants to protect the midfielder’s value.

Juventus have shown interest in Sancho but could only afford a loan move, while they would also expect United to cover most of his wages.
