Sol Campbell believes will take a step towards securing qualification this evening, but stopped short of confirming who he would be supporting in the north derby.

Tonight’s fixture is certain to have a huge bearing on which club secures the final qualifying spot for next season’s elite European competition.

After winning four successive matches, Arsenal are in pole position and a victory at the home of their fiercest rivals would secure fourth place as well as a return to the Champions League after a five-year absence.

Tottenham, however, boast a formidable home record in the derby and know a win will pull them to within a point of the Gunners with two games to go.

Campbell, who infamously defected from Spurs to Arsenal in 2001, believes tonight’s game will finish all square, a result that would favour Mikel Arteta’s side.

He told talkSPORT: ‘I think it will be a score draw. I think the momentum is with Arsenal they are playing fantastically away from home as well.

‘They are getting the wins, they are open though. There have been moments when they are open and the other teams haven’t taken their chances.

‘They will have to tighten up because if Tottenham get those openings they will finish them off. I think a score draw.’

Pressed on who he would be cheering on Cambell, who won two league titles and three FA Cups with Arsenal, remained coy, saying: ‘I’m just going to sit back and enjoy it and see how Arsenal go.

‘I’m really interested to see how Arsenal go because you know beating Chelsea, beating Man Utd they’ve put themselves in the driving position.

‘They deserve to be there. But you never know, Tottenham are at home, they might roll their sleeves up and say we are going to spoil your party we are going to show who we are and drag out and see if you can control yourself in the last couple of games.’
