Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly confident of signing forward Richarlison from , with transfer rivals concentrating on potential deals for other players in the same position.
That is according to the , which reports that Spurs is the Brazilian’s preferred destination and that he has informed the Everton hierarchy of his desire to leave after four seasons at Goodison Park.
and Son Heung-min have been of the Premier League’s most potent partnerships in recent years, but manager Antonio Conte is aiming to bolster Spurs’ attack and reduce the goalscoring burden on the pair of fan favourites.
Dejan Kulusevski has impressed since arriving from Juventus in January, but with Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura informed that they can leave the club this summer, the Spurs’ frontline could potentially could look light on numbers if reinforcements do not arrive.
The report adds that Everton value Richarlison at around £50m, having paid in the region of £45m to prise him from Watford in 2018, though Spurs could lower that fee by writing off potential add-ons in the deal which took Dele Alli to the North West in January, or by offering players deemed surplus to requirements in part exchange.
Both Bergwijn and Moura have been touted as potential makeweights, but the former prefers a move to Ajax in his homeland and the latter is happy to fight for a place in the Spurs side.
Everton manager Frank Lampard is believed to hold an interest in signing out-of-favour Spurs midfielder Harry Winks, but that deal could potentially be completed as a separate loan agreement rather than permanent transfer.
Earlier this week reports indicated that Spurs were interested in another Everton player, 21-year-old Anthony Gordon, but the player is not believed to be pushing for a move and so a straight transfer for Richarlison only is now the most likely outcome.
Richarlison scored 11 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, and has managed 14 goals in 36 outings for Brazil since making his debut in 2018.
