have no intention of accepting ’s £60million bid for despite launching a charm offensive, according to reports.
On Tuesday, the Bundesliga champions for the 29-year-old, who only has one year left on his contract and can leave on a free transfer next summer.
Kane is high on Manchester United’s transfer wish list but the Red Devils are wary of engaging with Daniel Levy and fear he will demand far in excess of £100m for the striker.
Bayern have tested the water with a significantly lower offer than that benchmark and are hoping the possibility of selling Kane abroad – rather than to a domestic rival – will tempt them into cashing in.
But transfer expert claims the bid has already been rejected out of hand by Tottenham, who have no intention of selling for a figure that low.
Other reports claim Spurs are yet to actually receive a formal offer from Bayern, but would immediately reject it if and when they do.
It remains to be seen if Kane himself would even entertain a move to the Bundesliga, with the striker keen to break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record.
The England captain now needs just 48 more goals to claim the record outright, something he could realistically look to achieve in the next two seasons after bagging 30 goals last term in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Spurs.
But are reporting that Bayern boss Tuchel is convinced he can persuade Kane to move to the Allianz Arena and will sell the transfer by telling him they can win the Champions League together.
The German coach is something of an expert in Europe, making the final with Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, winning it a year later with Chelsea and arguably giving Manchester City the biggest test of their treble-winning campaign last season.
Tuchel will look to convince Kane that he can finally add trophies to his CV by moving to Bayern, and then potentially return to England after a few seasons to break Shearer’s record too.
Unfortunately for Tuchel and Bayern, his charm offensives have not worked too well with other targets this summer.
The former Chelsea manager spoke to Declan Rice about moving to Bavaria but he has elected to stay in the Premier League, while contract rebel Mason Mount is also reluctant to leave England.
Kane, who has a young family and a fourth child on the way, seems unlikely to move to Germany at this stage of his career and, with Spurs willing to resist offers this summer, knows he will have his pick of clubs to join on a free transfer next year.
