want to sign defender Levi Colwill and the Blues could be forced to sell him amid fears over Financial Fair Play, according to reports.

Chelsea have spent over £600m since the summer and may now look to offload academy graduates such as Colwill, .

Colwill, 20, is yet to make his debut for Chelsea but has impressed on loan at Brighton this season, who are enjoying a fantastic 2022-23 campaign.

The Seagulls are seventh in the with games in hand and remain in the hunt for European qualification, while they are also in the FA Cup last four.

Colwill has featured in 15 games for Brighton this season and Spurs are keen to sign him from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to .

The England U21 international centre-back spent last season out on loan at Huddersfield in the Championship and he is under contract until 2025.

Colwill was tipped to play for Chelsea this term with the team lacking a left-sided centre-back after losing Antonio Rudiger last summer.

But instead he was loaned out to Brighton and the Blues signed Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly and Benoit Badiashile to cover that position.

Chelsea want to tie their starlet down to a new long-term deal but could be tempted to sell if Tottenham come in with a huge offer to help ease FFP worries.

Spurs need to improve their defence having conceded 45 goals in the Premier League this season, the most of any club in the top 13 and just one less than 17th-placed Everton.
