has admitted concern over Chelsea being caught in third place in the table after the Blues threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Wolves on Saturday.
A quickfire brace in the second half saw Tuchel’s side take control of the match at Stamford Bridge in front of new owner Todd Boehly, who was watching on from the stands.
Chelsea confirmed in the early hours of Saturday morning that the American billionaire’s consortium have agreed a deal to buy the west club, with a license from the UK government and approval from the Premier League needed to reach completion.
But the Blues dropped two points as Boehly watched on after Francisco Trincao pulled one back on 79 minutes and Conor Coady headed home in the seventh minute of added time.
Chelsea remain in third place, but Arsenal are four points behind them with a game in hand, while Tottenham are trailing the Gunners by two points.
When quizzed on whether he was concerned about being caught in third place, Tuchel told: ‘If you don’t win, of course you have to be concerned.
‘But you have to concentrate on your own results and the only focus is on us.’
On why Wolves got back into the game, Tuchel said in his post-match press conference: ‘I thought we started both halves well with an offensive 532. We knew about the risks and we need to be disciplined. We showed discipline over most moments of the first half. In situations we touch too much risk.
‘That costed us some dangerous moments at the end of the first half. We were unlucky not to score, unsure if it was a foul in the first half.
‘[I] reminded the players at half-time to stick to the plan. We were 2-0 up and against we took too much risk.
‘We invited the counter-attacks and big chances. Once you do this you lose confidence and invite the opponent to smell something is possible when it is unnecessary.’
