The Champions League final will be held at the 75,000 capacity Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
The stadium hosted the iconic 2005 final, where Liverpool completed the ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ by coming back from 3-0 down at half time against to win their fifth European title.
The final was originally set to be played at , but due to the rescheduling of the 2020 final as a result of the pandemic, the venues for subsequent finals were put back by one year.
However, due to the Covid-19 situation in Turkey in 2021, Istanbul was stripped of the final and was instead awarded the 2023 showpiece.
