Kane is the only active player in the top ten, and is currently 52 goals away from breaking the all-time record.

Kane holds the record for the most goals for a single Premier League club with his 209 strikes for Tottenham.

Aguero was the previous holder of the record having found the back of the net 184 times for on the way to winning five Premier League titles with the club.

Aguero scored 257 goals in all competitions for City to make the Argentine striker the all-time record goalscorer in the club’s history.

Rooney scored 183 Premier League goals during his time at Manchester United, whilst legend Thierry Henry scored 175 league goals for Arsene Wenger during his sublime spell in English football.
