but are still to finalise a deal with Chelsea, who are holding out for a fee in the region of £60 million for the England international.
During his contract standoff with Chelsea in recent months, Mount had attracted interest from several other Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.
However, report that City have not held discussions with Chelsea about Mount during their talks to sign Mateo Kovacic.
The report claims that Liverpool are working on their deal to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, while Arsenal have made the signing of West Ham captain Rice their ‘first priority’ this summer.
It’s understood that West Ham would be willing to sell Rice this summer but are seeking a transfer fee in excess of £100m for the 24-year-old.
Speaking about Rice’s situation, Moyes said last month: ‘We honestly hope he stays.
‘We’d love for him to be a West Ham player but we are aware that might not be the case at the end of the season.
‘So that’s one of the scenarios around planning. There are plans that we have Dec here but we’re also fully aware there is a good chance we won’t have him.’
