Why Man Utd may regret signing Matthijs de Ligt
Murphy feels De Ligt was ‘found out’ at Juventus and has highlighted the fact he lost his place in the Bayern team to Eric Dier.
‘They’ve gone and signed De Ligt, who’s been left out of the Bayern team for a lot of the season for Eric Dier,’ Murphy told .
‘He didn’t really cement his place at Juve. Maybe he’s been found out a bit.’
Why Man Utd may regret signing Noussair Mazraoui
Murphy believes Mazraoui is no better at going forward than Diogo Dalot while he also thinks Aaron Wan-Bissaka is superior in a defensive sense.
‘Mazraoui – he’s not better going forward than Dalot,’ Murphy added. ‘He’s not better than defensively than Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
‘Mazraoui is not a better player than Dalot. I’ve seen him play six times. He’s not better than Dalot.’
Why Man Utd may regret signing Joshua Zirkzee
Murphy is adamant that new forward Zirkzee will struggle for game time and has expressed concerns over his goal record.
During his two-year spell at Bologna, Zirkzee scored 14 times across 58 appearances.
‘Zirzkee is not a goalscorer,’ Murphy said. ‘He’s not a centre-forward.
‘Bruno Fernandes is the No.10, arguably one of the best in Europe, so where is he going to play?’
