The Premier League 2022/23 season has already brought with it plenty of drama.

Liverpool’s new signing let his temper get the better of him in their last game against , receiving afor head-butting Joachim Anderson.

But it was two other red cards that got more attention last week as Tottenham Hotspur manager clashed with Chelsea boss with both coaches receiving a red card –

While the dust has somewhat settled now, what doe sit mean for Conte and his next game in charge or Spurs – will he be on the sidelines for the Wolves game or has he been banned?

Will Antonio Conte be on the touchline for Tottenham vs Wolves?

Despite receiving a red card and many expecting Conte to be banned, he will in fact be on the sidelines for the game against Wolves today – Saturday, August 20.

The two managers squared up against each other both during the game and during the full-time handshake as emotions ran high at the London derby, which ended 2-2.

Both managers admitted to wrongdoing and from the FA, with the panel’s ruling stating that Conte will not face an enforced absence for this weekend’s match.

Tuchel meanwhile has been given a one-match touchline ban, but will likewise not miss this weekend’s game against Leeds as he appeals the decision.

Conte has been fined £15,000, while Tuchel has received a much heftier penalty of £35,000.

The full FA statement reads as follows:

‘An independent Regulatory Commission has today ordered that Thomas Tuchel be fined £35,000 and banned from the touchline for one match, and Antonio Conte be fined £15,000 after they respectively breached FA Rule E3. Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte admitted that their behaviour after the final whistle of the Premier League game between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022 was improper, and both managers requested a paper hearing.

‘These sanctions are subject to appeal, and Thomas Tuchel’s one match touchline ban has been suspended temporarily pending the independent Regulatory Commission’s written reasons for its decisions that will be made available in due course.’

Conte and his Spurs team – including captain Harry Kane – will be taking to the field to play Wolves at 12.30pm.

The game – being held at London’s Tottenham Hotspur stadium – will be available to watch on BT Sports for BT customers.
