Divock Origi is heading to Serie A this summer when his Liverpool contract expires, after agreeing personal terms with AC Milan.

The striker has not completed a medical or signed a contract yet, according to , but a deal has been agreed after Milan made him a ‘lucrative offer’.

The 27-year-old has been at Liverpool since 2014 when he was signed from Lille, but has rarely been a regular in the first team and has made just 175 appearances in all competitions over eight years.

He has, though, scored some memorable goals including in the final against Tottenham after netting a brace in the semis against .

As if that wasn’t enough to endear him to Liverpool fans, he has scored six goals against Everton over his Reds career, becoming a regular hero of the Merseyside Derby.

Origi never seemed likely to stay beyond this season and the January arrival of Luis Diaz has seen his already limited first team opportunities trimmed still further.

Places in the Reds’ front three are now being battled over by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diaz, Diogo Jota and Origi, with the Belgian firmly last in the pecking order.

Nevertheless, he has used his brief playing time this season quite effectively, scoring three goals in just seven Premier League appearances, which all came from the substitutes’ bench.

He has earned rave reviews from his manager Jurgen Klopp, who said: ‘He is a legend on and off the pitch.

‘He is fantastic footballer for me, he is a world-class striker, our best finisher, he always was and everyone would say the same.

‘He does it in training and then not in squad and that is really hard, a really hard decision to make.

‘The boys all are responsible for the situation we are in. Everybody loves Div and rightly so.’
