Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti has teased the prospect of pairing Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez at the San Siro next season, something that would disappoint the likes of and , who have shown interest in both players.

Dybala is leaving this month as his contract in Turin comes to an end and he has no shortage of suitors across Europe, with Inter being one of them.

Martinez is not in the same situation, under contract at Inter until 2026, although there are clubs wanting to try and tempt him away from Milan, with a £60m price tag put on his head.

Inter do not want to sell the 24-year-old and Zanetti fancies the idea of bringing in his international teammate with Argentina to bolster their attack.

On the prospect of pairing the two, Zanetti told reporters, via ‘Maybe. The transfer market is opening, we have a lot of time – we’re a club who must seize opportunities, if that proves to be the case we’ll evaluate it.

‘We must also be realistic, the constraints we’re dealing with are ones you know, but we’re talking about a great player when it comes to Dybala.’

Arsenal have been linked with both Martinez and Dybala as they look to revamp their attack over the summer.

Manchester United have also been touted as a possible destination for both Argentinians, although they do not appear to be at the top of new manager Erik ten Hag’s shopping list.

Both men scored for their country on Wednesday night as Argentina beat Italy to win Finalissima at Wembley, the clash between the winners of the Copa America and European Championships.
