Manchester City win Premier League title ahead of Liverpool after dramatic final day

have won the Premier League title ahead of Liverpool following a dramatic final day of the season on Sunday.

’s side, who were just a point ahead ’s men heading into the final day, were two goals down at home to Villa with just 21 minutes remaining.

But three goals inside five minutes through Rodri and a double from Ilkay Gundogan sealed a 3-2 victory to ensure City are crowned Premier League champions.

Liverpool, meanwhile, went behind after just three minutes at Anfield as Pedro Neto opened the scoring for Wolves.

Sadio Mane pulled Liverpool level before half time, while Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson struck with six minutes remaining at Anfield to secure a 3-1 win for Klopp’s men.

Elsewhere, Burnley were the final team to be relegated alongside Norwich City and Watford after they were beaten 2-1 at home by Newcastle United.

Leeds United, who were in the final day relegation scrap with Burnley, sealed a 2-1 win away at Brentford.

Tottenham ensured they finished in fourth spot ahead of Arsenal with their 5-0 victory over Norwich. Mikel Arteta’s side, meanwhile, ended their season on a high with a 5-1 win at home to Everton.
