Sasa Kalajdzic has admitted that he is open to the idea of moving to who have recently been linked with the Stuttgart striker.

Erik ten Hag is hard at work identifying transfer targets for his new club and one area that needs strengthening is the No.9 position, with Edinson Cavani leaving, Antony Martial’s future unclear and struggling with injuries and form.

is of course still firing on all cylinders, but cannot be expected to play every game, and are now reporting that Kalajdzic has emerged as the perfect ‘Plan-B’ option for the Red Devils and could be available for just £17million.

The 24-year-old is currently on international duty with Austria, being managed by former United interim boss , and was asked about the speculation linking him with a transfer.

‘Nothing is out of the question, I’m open to everything,’ he said.

‘There will be no rush job. It’s about finding what’s best for me.

‘I don’t know where the journey is going. There are many things going on in the background.’

At 6ft7’, Kalajdzic is the tallest player in the Bundesliga and his physique and style-of-play has been likened to former England striker Peter Crouch.

He first rose to prominence in the 2020/21 season when he scored 17 goals for Stuttgart, but injuries severely restricted his game time for much of the past campaign.

However, a return of six goals in his last 11 games for the Bundesliga club helped them scrape survival and proved that when fit Kalajdzic is a very dangerous forward.

United may face competition for his signature however, as the Austrian is also linked with Borussia Dortmund who are looking for a player to fill the void of prolific striker Erling Haaland who is moving to Manchester City.
