There was unrest in the England camp over the international break, with a number of players agreeing that has been too harsh with his criticism of some stars in his media work, according to a report.

state that it was a talking point among the Three Lions squad, with the consenus that Ferdinand has not been fair on the likes of Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and .

The former and England defender is a regular face on BT Sport’s football coverage, while he also goes into detail on newsworthy topics on his Vibe with Five YouTube channel.

Ferdinand is never shy of giving his opinion and has been critical of plenty of Manchester United players this season as the Red Devils have struggled for any kind of consistency.

The 43-year-old is far from the only pundit to be harsh on United’s stars this season, with the likes of Gary Neville and Roy Keane regularly very critical of Ralf Rangnick’s players, but the report states that it is Ferdinand’s opinions that are bothering players the most.

Ferdinand has revealed himself that he gets calls from players’ agents asking for him to be less critical about them, but he has no intention of toning his comments down.

‘The amount of phone calls I get from agents, “oh, can you not say this, why are you criticising so and so”, do me a favour,’ he said on earlier this month.

‘If I was being vindictive and personal and saying bad things personally about these people I’d get it, I’d take the call and say sorry.

‘But I ain’t saying sorry for stating facts. I ain’t saying sorry for tactically looking at the way people are playing and highlighting situations where you think you could do better there.’
