Alison Hammond determined to break Ant and Dec’s record-breaking NTA win: ‘It does mean a lot, I’m not gonna lie’

is hoping this year will be the year she’ll end Ant and Dec’s best presenter reign at the National Television Awards.

The icon, 47, is flying the flag for This Morning at the star-studded ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian .

However Alison She’s facing stiff competition, with & Declan Donnelly, Bradley Walsh, and Graham Norton the other names hoping to bag the best tv presenter honour.

Although Geordie duo Ant and Dec have won the category every year since 2001, Alison is feeling optimistic that could change.

‘I love the NTAs because it’s the viewers who have voted for you,’ she said.

‘It does mean a lot. I’m not gonna lie. I’d like to win,’ she added to .

This comes after  and ’s names were noticeably missing from the nomination list.

Famous faces from the world of television will descend on ’s Wembley Arena on September 15 in the hopes of winning an award.

This Morning presenter and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson recently shared her ahead of this year’s NTAs.

Battling it out in the ‘New Drama’ category is BBC medical drama This Is Going To Hurt, Time, LGBTQ+ romance series Heartstopper and the Vicky McClure-starring Triggerpoint.

Elsewhere Kate Garraway, Katie Price, Paddy and Christine McGuiness, who recently broke up, Tom Parker and Julia Bradbury are all up for the best ‘Authored Documentary.’

The National Television Awards 2022 takes place at Wembley Arena on September 15.
