has given us her best impression while poking fun at constant remarks about how young she looks.
The presenter, whose age of 47 surprises most people, posted a video of herself miming along to the iconic Twilight scene in which Edward finally reveals to Bella that he’s a vampire.
Alison, who was glowing as usual, flashed the camera a coy glance as Bella could be heard saying: ‘How old are you?’
Somehow managing to keep a straight face, Alison mimed along to Edward replying: ’17.’
Twihards won’t need us to tell them that Bella then asked Edward: ‘How long have you been 17?’, to which he (or in this instance, Alison) answered: ‘A while.’
Alison wrote alongside the post ‘When people don’t believe how old you are’, and it didn’t take long for many of her 1.2million followers to point out how funny they thought the video was.
Some social media users simply loled, while many more – including Lisa Snowdon and makeup artist Mikey Phillips – left cry-laughing emojis.
Others were (once again) quick to remark that Alison looked years younger than she is, with one Instagrammer writing: ‘Just Googled how old you are! Fudging hell, you look so much younger.’
‘It’s true, you’re getting younger every day!’ exclaimed someone else, while another of Alison’s fans said: ‘You look so young.’
Veteran This Morning viewers will remember just how shocked fans of the show were last year when Alison mentioned her age on air.
After hearing Alison say that she was 47, people rushed to Twitter to comment on how youthful she looks, leaving comments like ‘Did Alison Hammond just say she’s 47? No way is she that old. Did she mean to say 37?’ and ‘How the hell is she 47?’
Lest we all forget Alison has been gracing our screens for 20 years, since she appeared on Big Brother in 2002 as a young twenty-something.
Alison’s funny video follows rumours that she’s set to land her .
The doting mum has reportedly been offered a lucrative new role by ITV’s rival broadcaster, although it remains unclear whether she will make the switch or not.
A source told : ‘It remains to be seen if This Morning bosses will give her a higher wage and a higher-profile role on the show to ensure she stays with them.
‘If not, the Sky show is unlikely to be the last tempting offer she receives.’
The opportunity came Alison’s way after she was previously hired by ITV to , but the project was scrapped and rival broadcasters are now seeking to tempt her away from ITV.
Last year, Alison appeared on BBC1 shows like The Wheel and I Can See Your Voice and has cemented herself as a favourite among This Morning viewers since being announced as a permanent host alongside in 2020.
