She’s admitted to fearing for her own safety and told that, despite not thinking about Fiona for years, the success of one of Netflix’s biggest shows of the year has left her worried again.

‘My partner and I are concerned about what she might do next. Is she going to come after me? She is posting things on accusing me of all sorts, and of being abusive. You don’t know where it will end.’

She continued: ‘If she does have any friends, surely they should be trying to help her and calm things down. But she doesn’t want to calm things down. Part of her is really enjoying this.’

Fiona, however, has denied harassing Laura and Jimmy – who died in 2013, aged 78 – saying they were merely political rivals.
