Kate Chastain has given birth to a baby boy, and shared the first photo of her son on Instagram.

The icon announced her pregnancy last year, but .

In a new post, the 40-year-old posted a selfie from her hospital bed, looking typically glamorous .

Alongside the upload, showing her posing with sunglasses as she held her son in her arms, the former chief stewardess simply wrote: ‘Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay.’

Right on cue, her fellow Below Deck stars and Bravolebrities rushed to offer their congratulations to the new mom.

Sailing Yacht chief stew Daisy Kelliher led the way, penning: ‘Omg congrats!’

Josiah Carter, who worked alongside Kate in season six, wrote: ‘Yeyyyyy congratulations. He’s gorgeous.’

‘Congratulations babes! Welcome to the world Sullivan,’ former Below Deck Med chief stew Katie Flood wrote.

Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge said: ‘Congratulations. He’s beautiful.’

Kate came to fame on season two of Below Deck and soon became a firm fan favorite thanks to her hard work, witty comebacks and those trademark blanket folds.

She led the interior crew for six series before making her exit in February, 2020, moving over to Bravo’s Chat Room and hosting Galley Talk.

The reality legend most recently stole the show while , and unwittingly played an epic game.

However, despite being the face of Below Deck for years, she has kept her private life firmly behind closed doors, and has remained quiet about any romances in public.

Kate has not shed light on Sullivan’s father, and previously clarified that she was going ahead with motherhood solo.

Appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live shortly after revealing her pregnancy, she told host Andy Cohen: ‘I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I’m happy to do it alone.

‘I think being a chief stew really trained me for it.’

In a subsequent appearance on the program, she opened up about her pregnancy journey so far, enthusing: ‘I feel so lucky, it’s been the easiest pregnancy ever.

Explaining that she ‘always wanted a kid’ in the future, she added: ‘I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen for me so I just feel so lucky.’
