A nine-year-old magician left ‘speechless’ on tonight, after inviting judge Amanda Holden on stage for his trick.
After discussing with Simon how much he loved Harry Potter, Ryland Petty wowed the judges with some magic that was just as impressive.
Before his performance, he admitted backstage that he had ‘been wanting to go on since [he] four.’
Performing some magic that involved a Rubik’s cube and guessing a word Amanda had pulled out a jar, as well as involving some friends on stage and asking the audience to shine their phone lights, Ryland was left with a standing ovation, and Simon was left speechless.
‘I’m speechless. That was unbelievable, seriously unbelievable,’ the media mogul began.
‘What was so weird was we were kidding about movie and then it was like a Harry Potter movie on that stage. That was magic.’
Alesha Dixon added: ‘Fantastic showmanship, the magic was amazing.’
‘You have magical powers and needed to be stopped,’ David Walliams jokingly said, adding: ‘You should be very, very proud of yourself.’
Simon added: ‘Can I just see what’s behind your fringe?’
Viewers were just as impressed with Ryland’s performance, with one writing: ‘Ryland like a real life Harry Potter magician, absolutely sick!’
Another penned: ‘He was amazing! How he did all that I don’t know. A true magician in the making. Hopefully he grows up and does well in life.’
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, after delivering her Golden Moment.
The seven-year-old had thought she was attending her regular dance class with other children before the pop-star walked in, who Skyla Blue recognised immediately.
Walking in and surprising Skyla, Alesha said: ‘A little birdy tells me you’re an amazing dancer and that it has always been a dream of yours to perform on Britain’s Got Talent. I’m here to invite you to audition on Britain’s Got Talent 2022!’
Skyla gleefully said: ‘I’m super happy!’
Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV.
