’s Golden Buzzer act Axe Blake reached out to previous contestants Kojo Anim and Nabil Abdulrashid before auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent.

The comedian seriously impressed judges Simon, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden in Sunday’s episode of ITV competition series and managed to secure a spot in the final with Simon’s help.

Following his rip-roaring entrance, Axel has revealed he’s friends with Kojo and Nabil and sought his advice before taking to the famous stage.

‘I reached out to them and they both said “just relax and enjoy it”,’ Axel shared.

He also explained their appearances on the show ultimately inspired him to take a punt and sign up too.

‘When you see people that are your peers go on to do amazing things it will undoubtedly influences and inspires you,’ he admitted.

‘I applied for BGT as I saw is as a new opportunity for me to chase my dream of being a household name comedian and prove myself that I have what it takes to take my comedy to the next level,’ Axel added.

‘I’m still a little in shock to be honest, it’s crazy to think someone I’ve seen on TV for such a long time and hold in such a high esteem found me that funny.’

So, what is Axel hoping for following Britain’s Got Talent? ‘I’ve always dreamed of taking my comedy to the next level, being able to get on TV, have my own comedy special – it’d be a dream to tour the country and even across the world,’ he shared.

‘I think BGT might just be the thing to help me do that.’

We think you’re right.
