How does the Golden Buzzer work on BGT?
If an act receives the Golden Buzzer they are guaranteed to progress straight to the live semi-finals, bypassing the bootcamp stages.
This is the case even if every other judge gave them the red buzzer.
The Golden Buzzer can be pressed by the four judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – and by hosts Ant and Dec.
How many times can the Golden Buzzer be used?
Each judge gets one Golden Buzzer per series, and Ant and Dec share a Golden Buzzer selection too.
So, in total, there can be five Golden Buzzer acts picked.
