The best part is that you can be the – with the public vote deciding which BGT contestants will make it through to the final, and ultimately who will win the whole show.

As the shows (Monday, May 29), you might be wondering how you can cast your vote to help your favourite act.

More details will follow during the programme itself, but here’s what you need to know for now.

How to vote in the Britain’s Got Talent 2023 semi-finals

You’ll be voting for your favourite act(s) in the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals, in a bid to help them reach the final.

There are two ways to vote: by phone, or online via the ITV website.

By phone, each contestant will be assigned a phone number starting with digits ’09’.

They’ll also be assigned a shorter phone number or ‘dial code’, which you can use if you’re calling in from a mobile phone.

During the show, these numbers will be displayed, and it’ll be made clear when the phone lines are open for voting. You’ll simply need to call the number to cast your vote.

Either option won’t be cheap – each call costs 50p plus your network’s access charge.

Happily, though, 15p from each call goes to the Royal Variety Charity, according to .

There is a free way to vote, too, through the .

You’ll need to register your mobile number on ITV’s site to vote this way, but you do get five votes for free once you’ve done so.

Of course, you can’t vote until it is announced on the programme that voting is open – most likely after all of the contestants have performed in their semi-final, out of fairness.

Note you’ll need to be living in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man to take part in the voting process.

And obviously, when voting by phone you’ll need the bill payer’s permission to do so, as the calls aren’t free of charge.
