The star had told Paul Barewijk for Paul Voor Je Neus that she had ‘heard [the song] a couple of days ago in Ibiza’.
She described it as ‘insane’ and ‘iconic’ – but later it was reported that the star misspoke.
According to online, Paris has not actually heard the song but has instead simply heard it’s going to be amazing.
The outlet stated that during her interview with Paul, she was rushing to perform on stage at Tomorrowland and had misspoke.
Paris and Britney have been close friends for years, with the heiress among the celebrity guests at the Everytime singer’s marriage to Sam Asghari.
Sources have previously hinted that the Tiny Dancer collaboration is set to be released this month, meaning fans don’t have long to wait.
While neither star has publicly confirmed the duet, sources told Page Six: ‘This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan.
‘They have recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a full duet — and it is incredible.’
The source added: ‘Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by über-producer Andrew Watt.’
Recently Britney herself has been teasing fans on her return to music, having recently shared a clip of her singing her hit Baby One More Time to Instagram.
