When news of her casting was announced, many people were unhappy that the Zoey 101 star was involved after Britney previously accused her of not offering support during her 13-year conservatorship.

Over the years has been strained, with Britney, 41, often slamming her sister, 32, in public.

Now she appears to have criticised her sister again for speaking about their family matters in front of the cameras.

with Sam Thompson over the weekend, Jamie Lynn said she ‘loved’ her sister, but had learnt to ‘stop talking’ about their disagreements publicly because ‘families fight’.

Then on Monday evening, Britney shared a message on Instagram which explained how ‘ladies do not start fights…but can finish them’.

Sharing a clip from the 1970 film The Aristocats, the video showed a white cat speaking to a smaller kitten.

The cat said: ‘Ladies do not start fights, but they can finish them.’

In response the kitten exclaims: ‘Well, she started it.’

During the conversation on the show, Sam asked Jamie Lynn if her older sister would be concerned about her decision to compete in the jungle.

‘I can imagine she’d be worried about me out here. I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily,’ she responded.

‘I do think she’s probably like, “Why would she do that?” She asked me that before I came here, she was like, “You’re really going to do it?” I was like, “I’m going to go to Australia and check it out”.’

Going on to call Britney a ‘good big sister’, she also addressed their complicated relationship.

‘I love her,’ she continued.

‘Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.’

She wrote: ‘My sister and I should have found comfort in each other, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.

‘As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalising on it.

‘She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.’

Britney added that she felt ‘really let down’.
