The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is back for more with some of our fave celebs showing off their baking skills – but only one can be crowned Star Baker.
Competing in the tent this week alongside Example are Annie McManus, Ed Gamble and Matt Lucas.
They’ll follow in the footsteps of Gareth Malone, , Ruby Wax, , who caused utter chaos in the tent last week.
The four aspiring celeb bakers will be hoping to impress judges and all whilst raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
Here’s everything you need to know about Example, who takes to the tent tonight.
Who is Example?
Example – real name Elliot Gleave – is an English musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer, born on June 20, 1982.
His stage name came from the fact his initials are E.G. which is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase exempli gratia (‘for example’).
He first found success with the release of his second studio album, Won’t Go Quietly, which peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart and at number one on the UK Dance Chart back in 2010.
He was also one of Ed Sheeran’s earliest collaborators, taking the Suffolk-born singer on tour back in 2010 where they coined the iconic Nando’s Skank.
As of 2014 he was the third most downloaded artist in the Dance Music category, after Cascada.
His eighth studio album Every Single Time comes out on June 22.
Elsewhere, he’s involved with charity work and is an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust and is a supporter of Fulham FC.
What songs is he known for?
His second album saw hits such as Kickstarts, Watch The Sun Come Up and Won’t Go Quietly enter into the UK charts, which solidified the artist as a producer of certified bangers.
The follow-up contained tracks such as Playing in the Shadows was released on September 4, 2011.
The album topped the charts with two number one singles -Changed the Way You Kiss Me (produced by Michael Woods) and Stay Awake (produced by electronic duo Nero).
He also wrote Chasing The Sun which featured on their debut US album, The Wanted.
Is Example married and does he have any children?
Example married Australian model and TV personality Erin McNaught back in 2013, after becoming engaged in 2012.
Erin also starred in Neighbours back in 2008, playing the role of Sienna Cammeniti.
The pair have two children together. Evander, born 2014, and Ennio, born in 2017.
The couple currently live in Brisbane, Australia. In December 2019, Example obtained his residency visa and became a permanent resident of Australia.
