Chris Evans celebrates sobriety milestone amid skin cancer diagnosis

has revealed he is now 90 days sober and is ‘feeling great’ as he .

Last month the 57-year-old broadcaster on his radio show, eight years after he had previously been given the all-clear following a prostate cancer scare in 2015.

At the time he confirmed that the cancer had been and was confident in a full recovery.

Now Chris has shared an update on his decision to , sharing he and wife Natasha Shishmanian, 43, have gone three months without drinking alcohol.

On Friday he shared a snap of them on Instagram after they received their Alcoholics Anonymous Green Chips.

In the photograph, the couple could be seen smiling, while each holding up a Green Chips over an eye.

He captioned the post: ‘90 days sober. Feels f#%^*$€ great for SO many reasons. #selfcare > purpose/higher power>in service of others.’

Last month, Chris revealed how he and his wife had recently given up drinking after realising that alcohol took the shine off his life.

Over the years he’s spoken about attempts to cut down or eliminate alcohol, announcing on his show two years ago he was removing it from his diet mid-week, and also gave it up to raise money for charity on one occasion.

Meanwhile, in his autobiography, Call The Midlife, Chris made the candid confession that he’d once been to Alcoholics Anonymous to discuss the impact of his drinking.

‘Do I drink too much, do I have anything to worry about? [I discussed] all of these things that play on my mind,’ he wrote.

A few weeks Chris ago revealed he’d been diagnosed with skin cancer eight years after being given the all-clear, but added it’s ‘as treatable as cancer can possibly be’.

In 2015 he received the all-clear after undergoing tests for prostate cancer.

He has been married to former pro golfer and ex model Natasha since 2007, with who he shares 14-year-old son Noah, Eli, 10, and four-year-old twins Walt and Boo.
