star Mandip Gill teased that her character’s romance with the Time Lord will be explored in the upcoming episode Legend Of The Sea Devils.
Devoted fans were over the moon between the 13th Doctor () and Yaz (Mandip) addressed , after Dan Lewis (John Bishop) urged the pair to profess their feelings for one another.
Although Yaz made the first move, viewers are desperate to see how their relationship plays out in the spring special – and we hope it’s going to be a happy ending.
Without giving too much away, the 34-year-old actress confirmed the highly-anticipated moment will be addressed, and that’s as much as she’s willing to give away at the moment.
‘So I won’t tell you which way it goes. But we obviously have to touch on that again, it wouldn’t make sense not to,’ she told
‘I mean that’s in the midst of everything else that’s going on. And you know, the sword fight with the Sea Devils and all that kind of stuff,’ she added.
– which marks Jodie’s penultimate outing as the Time Lord – promises all the action as the group are targeted by the ferocious enemies while out at sea.
‘They’re coming straight for us!’ Dan frets, while a confused Doctor replies: ‘That’s impossible!’
Mandip recently revealed she as she fended off monsters during filming, as fans will see her character involved in a dramatic sword-fighting sequence.
‘It didn’t go down very well,’ she joked.
‘I was like, “This sword is really heavy. And I’ve hurt my finger now. Shall we stop?”‘
Russell T Davies, who rebooted Doctor Who in 2005, is returning for a second stint as showrunner, but TV bosses remain tight-lipped over who will be taking on the titular role next.
Olly Alexander, Lydia West, Michael Sheen, and Jo Martin have been tipped as favourites, , aka the King of British rom-coms, was rumoured to take on the role.
However, the actor insisted that it’s not him.
