The Spider-Man: Homecoming actor revealed he’s hiredon his upcoming series.
The new series is tentatively called Hive and reportedly about a Beyonce-type character.
In an interview with, Donald praised Malia, gushing: ‘She’s just, like an amazingly talented person.
‘She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard.’
Donald, also known as rapper Childish Gambino, also praised Malia’s writing skills and suggested a promising future in the industry.
‘I feel like she’s just somebody who’s gonna have really good things coming soon.
‘Her writing style is great.’
Donald’s younger brother Stephen has also been collaborating with Malia on the show and highlighted the 23-year-old’s ‘unique perspective.’
‘We wanted to hear her stories and have her work with us.
‘Listening to her stories and having her involved really gave us a lot of good ideas,’ Stephen said.
He jokingly added that nepotism isn’t a problem in the writer’s room: ‘We can’t be easy on her just because she’s the [former] president’s daughter,’ stating that the Harvard graduate is ‘very down to earth’ and ‘a regular person like everybody else.’
This isn’t the former First Daughter’s first Hollywood gig, as she has previously interned on in 2015.
She also worked as a production assistant while still at high school in 2014 on Halle Berry’s sci-fi drama Extant.
