When we say an 11pm ‘routine’ most people might think of brushing teeth, getting into pyjamas, maybe reading a book or doom scrolling for a few. But not for .
Podcaster doesn’t simply do a bit of yoga and slink into bed with a nice fluffy eye mask – and maybe some incense (isn’t that what rich people do?).
No, no. Let’s not be naïve. Put the Calm app away, because the young Dragon, 31, gets a member of staff in to help send him to sleep. As you do.
Steven’s rigid routine involves his masseuse – yes, that’s right, his masseuse – coming round to pat him into relaxation at 11pm.
Chatting about his almost determinedly zen bedtime ritual to , he said: ‘I often get massages in the evening – it sounds crazy but usually my masseuse comes over at 11pm.
‘Then I’ll get into bed and listen to videos as I fall asleep. I’m asleep by midnight.’
Casual. Although this is probably the most extra part of the mogul’s day, even if he is worth an estimated £68million (according to Forbes), Steven’s daily habits don’t stop at a massage.
In fact, he gets up every day and checks his sleep performance from his smart mattress cover. He then has a matcha energy drink, goes to the gym, and walks his French bulldog Pablo.
For lunch Steven and his girlfriend often enjoy a steak at Flat Iron (as you would if you had all that spare cash knocking around). He’s been ’40 or 50′ times before.
Steven is famous both for being a Dragon on the hit business show, but also for hosting his popular Diary of a CEO podcast, in which he interviews stars at length about their successes, and how they got to where they are.
Since it’s inception in 2017 – as he leapt onto the podcast self-help and interview format pretty early doors – he’s bagged guests including Maisie Williams, will.i.am, and Rita Ora.
Now we know Steven’s routine, it seems the key to business success just might be becoming a creature of habit…. and getting your own masseuse – although we’re not sure if this is a symptom, or cause, or indeed both…
