Dwayne ‘’ Johnson hit out against cancel future and ‘woke’ as he was asked if he was planning a move into politics.
The , 51, who had an electrifying win at night, spoke out against modern-day culture while denying he had any plans to run for President of the .
And in the lead-up to Wrestlemania 40, he appeared on Fox News in the US where he hit out at ‘today’s easy cancel culture world’.
‘Cancel culture, woke culture, this culture, that culture, division, et cetera, that really bugs me,’ he complained.
He said people ‘either succumb and be what you think other people want you to be, or you go, “Well no, that’s not who I am. I’m going to be myself, and I’m going to be real.”‘
He added: ‘If you ask me something, a real answer is important, and the truthful answer’s important. And that may get people upset.’
Dwayne was also questioned about any plans to run for president, after polls found that he would have significant support across the States — but insisted it’s ‘not my intention’.
‘I’m not a politician, I’m not into politics,’ he said while adding he ‘cares deeply about our country’.
‘But right now, my desire and my priorities are my babies and school drop-offs and pickups – that’s important to me.’
Dwayne is a dad of three children: Simone, 22, from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia (also known as WWE star Ava Raine), and Jasmine, eight, and five-year-old Tiana with wide Lauren Hashian.
He added however that while he doesn’t think politics is ‘the right move at this point, possibly, I don’t know. As of now.’
And while he endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, he said he would not endorse any candidate for this year’s election as he wants to instead ‘bring our country together’ and will ‘keep my politics to myself’.
Dwayne may not be going into politics (just yet, at least), but he’s involved in plenty of other ventures, from the wrestling ring to film sets to, most recently, skincare for men.
Including shampoo and conditioner, which raised eyebrows thanks to Dwayne’s, well, lack of hair.
One TikTok user even spotted what looked to be an endorsement from Dwayne at a shop stocking his grooming products, with the words: ‘My hair would’ve loved this 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner.’
