Ed Sheeran seemingly ‘double booked’ himself for Capital’s Summertime Ball as he makes 200 mile dash to Manchester

is in for quite the busy Sunday as he hurtles between two gigs 200 miles apart on the same day.

The chart-topping singer appears to have ‘double booked’ himself after opening the Capital Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at ’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

He is then due on stage in that evening at the Etihad Stadium to perform in his own gig as part of his +–=÷x Tour.

Either he didn’t notice the date clash, or, in fairness, he was happy squeezing both gigs into one day.

Ed was due to start promptly at Wembley at 2pm this afternoon, kicking off proceedings with a 20-minute set sure to have included some of his classic tunes as well as new hits like Bad Habits and Shivers.

was then due onstage at 2:20pm, meaning if Ed left swiftly he would be allowing himself and his team enough time to get to Manchester for soundcheck number two of the day.

Other stars in the Capital Summertime Ball line-up include Jax Jones, Becky Hill, Sigala, KSI, Mabel, Gorge Ezra and the .

will close the evening in style alongside David Guetta, from approximately 8:20pm.

By that time, Ed should be well underway with his Manchester show, the last of four gigs he’s played in the city this week.

Taking to his Stories on Saturday night to acknowledge the busy weekend, Ed said: ‘Manchester, I will see you tomorrow and I will also see you in London at the Summertime Ball.’

He added: ‘Two shows in a day, five shows in a weekend. Let’s do it! ‘            

The father-of-two, who , previously cancelled his June 2 show in Sunderland due to a scheduling conflict but fans were offered the chance to move their ticket to the Friday or Saturday performances, or receive a refund.

The Perfect chart-topper, who recently outside Buckingham Palace, is set to finish his world tour in Perth, Australia on March 12, 2023.
