has announced the sad death of her uncle Steve.
The 33-year-old star confirmed the news on Sunday, telling her 1.9million followers that her heart was broken.
Many of the actress’ famous friends were quick to rally around Emily and send her love.
Posting a handful of photos of herself and Steve, Emily penned: ‘It breaks my heart to say that on Friday we lost my beautiful uncle Steve.’
She went on: ‘I often shared photos and stories with you all on here about him because I simply adored him. Everybody did.
‘The smartest and funniest soul you could ever wish to have in your company.’
Emily continued: ‘Always sharing his talents and love for music, cooking, hiking and writing. Just a few of many.
‘He appreciated every single day he was here, his zest and enthusiasm for life was infectious.
‘I am truly blessed and honoured to have some of my most treasured memories with you Uncle Steve aka Uncle Beef, The Mountain Man. The light of our lives.’
Emily concluded her post: ‘I love you so much and I will miss you beyond belief.
‘May you live on through the music and the mountains. Rest easy my wonderful Uncle Beef.’
Laura Whitmore was quick to share her condolences, telling Emily: ‘Ah I’m sorry Emily! Lots of love. Rest in peace Steve xxxx.’
Vicky Pattison added: ‘So sorry Em, sending my condolences to you and your family,’ while comedian Tom Davies said, ‘Thoughts with you and your family mate.’

Emily transformed into a 1980s blonde, curly-haired socialite, clad in gold, ruffles and dramatic lipstick as she filmed the + series.
The eight-episode series will be an adaptation of Jilly’s second novel from her beloved Rutshire Chronicles, called Rivals.
