favourites Joe Kyle and girlfriend Roisin Kelly watched part of the and Queen Camilla during the latest episode of the Channel 4 show.

Their participation in the popular program requires them to view a number of shows and discuss aspects of what they are viewing.

During the latest episode, they were watching the royal event and Joe quickly made his opinions on the monarch clear.

Joe turned to Roisin and asked: ‘I’ve been practising my allegiance, do you want to hear it?’

He soon starts singing out the lyrics: ‘You can stick your Coronation up your a**e.’

The 26-year-old then exclaims: ‘What f*****g century are we in?!’

Viewers of Gogglebox took to social media to react to Scottish Joe’s words.

One person felt he represented Scotland well: ‘My highlights of the #Gogglebox cast’s take on the #Coronation Joe representing Glasgow, most of Scot.’

‘Joe the only one with common sense,’ remarked another. A third person added: ‘Joe has gone up in my books’

However, other viewers were less pleased with his expression of opinion and the show’s editing.

‘The anti-monarchy & laziness of editing/directing this week was such a shame. The most magnificent event of the year, HM King’s Coronation, had primarily anti-royal commentary from the Goggleboxers. Unreflective of the population at large & a clear editorial line,’ one viewer passionately stated.

They weren’t the only one who felt that way: ‘Love but found the comments regarding the Coronation quite one-sided, personal, and disrespectful. A bit of balance would have been better.’

Joe and Roisin, 24, joined the show last year, and invite viewers into the Glasgowian lounge each week for their thoughts.

Fans can also listen to Roisin’s podcast Nags and Brags.

Gogglebox continues Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
