The chef and TV personality, 83, became one of the at a special Big Lunch at on Tuesday [April 18] attended by faith leaders from across the country.
The recipe for the quiche, containing broad beans, tarragon, spinach and cheese, was posted by King Charles and Camilla’s official social media accounts yesterday.
A garden party hosted by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Westminster Abbey, in central London, kicked off the coronation celebrations before the big event on Saturday, May 6.
It is one of the first coronation ‘big lunches’, of which many are expected to take place across the country on Sunday May 7.
And it definitely was a hit with Prue who hailed the dish as ‘seasonal.’
‘The quiche was absolutely delicious,’ she enthused to PA news agency.
‘There was no soggy bottom, the custard was not overcooked and dry, and the balance of tarragon was perfect – a really good quiche.’
She added: ‘Quiche is universal. Even cold, if the ingredients are right and the pastry is nice and buttery, it will taste great.’
The coronation concert will be held in the grounds of Windsor Castle a day after Charles, 74, is crowned along with his wife Queen Consort Camilla, 75, at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
Take That, and Lionel Richie are who will perform at the glamorous event to the BBC has announced.
The line-up will also include Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, singer-songwriter Freya Ridings and classical-soul composer Alexis Ffrench, with more acts to be announced soon.
The concert, produced by BBC Studios Productions, will be broadcast live from the grounds of Windsor Castle on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
