Just moments before the snap was taken, she and ex-husband Chris, 45, were seen sitting together at the graduation ceremony at LA’s Harvard Westlake School watching the 18-year-old walk across the stage to receive her diploma.
The Goop founder looked California casual in a wide-brimmed hat, several gold necklaces, sunglasses and a sleeveless outfit, while Coldplay frontman Chris kept it smart in a black suit with a matching tie and buttoned-up white shirt.
Apple, who bears a striking resemblance to her famous mother, wore a green graduation gown and her blonde hair in loose waves.

She wrote alongside the snap: ’18. I’m a bit of a loss for words this morning. I could not be more proud of the woman you are. You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more.

She continued:’Happy birthday my darling girl. I hope you know how special you are, and how much light you have brought to all who are lucky enough to know you. Especially me.
‘I say it all the time and I will never stop… in the words of auntie Drew, I was born the day you were born. I love you. Mama.’

‘And this woman has made me the woman I am today more than anyone else.’
Apple is the eldest of two children the star shares with Chris, as they also have son Moses, who turned 16 last month.
