Hailey Bieber has paid tribute to her grandmother Carol Baldwin, who died this week at the age of 92.
The model, 25, who is married to , said she would be celebrating her grandmother’s life following her death.
Carol, who was the mother of actors Stephen Baldwin, , Daniel Baldwin and William Baldwin, died on Thursday in Syracuse, New York.
Hailey has now penned a sweet tribute to her grandmother, who she called ‘the matriarch of the Baldwin family.’
Alongside a vintage photograph of the late Carol, she wrote: ‘Yesterday at 5:52pm my beautiful Grandma Carol Baldwin, the matriarch of the Baldwin family completed her journey here on earth.
‘Today I celebrate her, the life she lived, and the legacy she leaves behind. We love you.’
Hailey’s uncle, Alec, previously wrote a lengthy statement where he spoke of his sorrow over losing his mother.
The 30 Rock star- who is – shared a vintage picture of Carol alongside a more recent snap, and hailed Carol as a ‘fighter’ who taught him about ‘second acts’ in life.
He shared details about her life, revealing she met her future husband Alexander R. Baldwin Jr. – nicknamed Alec – at Syracuse University, and the family moved to Long Island in 1954.
There, Alex Sr ‘taught history and coached football and riflery at Massapequa High School’ until he died in 1983 aged 55.
‘My mother taught me about second acts,’ Alec wrote. ‘And third ones, too.
‘She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and a champion for the cause to which she devoted so much energy. We are all enormously proud of her accomplishments.’
Carol had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991. She survived and went on to join a group of Long Island-based breast cancer support groups, with the Carol M Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund later opening at the State University of New York.
Alec – who noted Carol has 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren – added that information about memorial arrangements ‘will be forthcoming’.
Hailey, who is the daughter of Stephen, shared the post on her own Instagram Story at the time and wrote: ‘We love you Grandma.’
