Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers’ Strictly partner Karen Hauer ‘heartbroken’ following his death aged 66

Tributes have been paid to star after it was .

Two years after, his co-star Si King revealed the news on on Thursday.

He also wrote: ‘Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment.

‘My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.

‘I wish you God’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya.’

In his statement, King also said he knew Myers and his family would want him to thank people for their ‘messages of support in recent times’.

‘It meant the world to him, his family and all The Hairy Bikers team. I am sending you all much love and gratitude for those simple acts of kindness, generosity and spirit. We are eternally grateful for them,’ he added.

Myers’ Strictly Come Dancing partner Karen Hauer, who he competed with on the 2013 series, wrote that she was ‘heartbroken’.

Commenting on the post, wrote: ‘Gutted Si, this is terrible news! Love to all mate xx.’

Former Saturday Kitchen host shared a photo of Myers on his own account, writing: ‘I am lost for words, a very special man.’

MasterChef judge John Torode shared a photo of Myers on Instagram and wrote: ‘Goodbye. Rest now.’

, who won Celebrity MasterChef in 2022, commented on Martin’s post, writing: ‘Utterly heartbroken.’

Andi Oliver said she was ‘so so sad to hear the sad news’.

‘My heart goes out to you all xx,’ she commented on King’s post.

The Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown also described Myers’ death as ‘heartbreaking’ news.

Sharing the Hairy Bikers’ post on X, she wrote: ‘Such heartbreaking news. So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and Dave’s friends and family.’

Young MasterChef judge Poppy O’Toole added: ‘This is heartbreaking. Sending all the love to Dave’s family and friends.’

Many fans have also shared tributes to the TV chef, who presented several shows that combined cooking with a motorcycle travelogue alongside King since 2004.
