’ headline set at proved to be one of the festival’s biggest attractions ever, reportedly attracting over 100,000 people to watch.
The Watermelon Sugar star, 28, was in Indio, California, and put on a serious show in a multi-coloured sequinned jumpsuit, even bringing Shania Twain out to perform with him.Â
Harry’s set was such a draw, it brought over 100,000 of the festivals 125,000 attendees to watch him as he took the mainstage, meaning 20,000 people were watching other acts on smaller stages at the time, according to
The publication also noted that actual attendance numbers tend to fluctuate for large-scale events anyway, particularly considering that many people may have tested positive for Covid-19 and been forced to cancel plans to attend.
Reps for Coachella’s promoters previously declined to give out attendance figures or comment to the publication.
Harry’s set appears to be one of the festival’s most popular, with similar sized crowds reported for previous headliners including Beyonce, who performed in 2018.
This year’s festival is the first one to take place since 2019, as the previous two years faced cancellations due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Harry’s 90-minute set also attracted celebrities, who joined the crowds in the desert.Â
As well as performing new and classic songs, Harry also brought out Shania Twain to sing Man, I Feel Like A Woman as well as Still The One together.
Harry also debuted two new songs on the evening, through to be called Boyfriends and Late Night Talking, days after revealing his latest single, As It Was.
He performed As It Was live for the first time at Coachella, with it going down a treat with the 100,000-strong audience.Â
