What is shingles?

Shingles is an infection that causes a painful rash.

The first signs of shingles can be a tingling or painful feeling in an area of skin or a headache or feeling generally unwell.

A rash will appear a few days later.

You might need medicine to help speed up your recovery and avoid longer-lasting problems.

Get advice from 111 as soon as possible if you think you have it.

It can take up to 4 weeks for the rash to heal.

This week The Saturdays singer and Hit List presenter Rochelle Humes, 34, has been filling for Holly, hosting from Monday to Thursday.

Phil, meanwhile, returned to This Morning on Monday after taking a break during the Easter holidays and his brother Timothy Schofield’s trial, telling viewers it was ‘lovely to be back.’

His sibling was at Exeter Crown Court of sexually abusing a teenage boy over a period of three years, having been charged with 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019 – including two of sexual activity with a child.

Following the guilty verdict, Phil issued a statement and said he ‘no longer’ had a brother.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
