has certainly sparked some controversy during his stint.
The former judge, 71, followed his co-star into the house, where’s he’s already and.
But there was backlash before he’d even walked in, when a ‘disgusting’ video aired showing Louis.
And it’s , but the spotlight has turned to John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, after Louis blasted them as ‘vile’, and they didn’t take long to hit back.
But it’s certainly not the first feud Louis has been involved in, with past ones resurfacing, including with This Morning star Cat Deeley over The X Factor.
On Tuesday’s Celebrity Big Brother, Louis ranted: ‘They were vile. They were vile, but they were great. I got 5 million quid for them, I swear on my mother’s life.’
He went on: ‘But they were vile. But they were novelty, it was great for the show, and it was all about the show.’
Jedward furiously hit back at Louis after the comments, but before we get into that, what exactly did the singing duo do to infuriate Louis?
What did Jedward do?
Louis managed the twins between 2009 and 2013 after they shot to fame on The X Factor.
At the time, he was convinced they’d go on to have ‘a great career’ and called them ‘fantastic’.
But they later ditched him, hiring their mother to become their manager in 2013.
Years later, in 2016, the Eurovision stars hit out at Louis after he reportedly called them ‘the most embarrassing thing to happen to him’.
‘I think we are the most financially beneficial act of his career in the last 10 years,’ Edward said, according to .
John added: ‘I don’t think he took us under his wing. I think we were already flying and he was like, “Oh I think I want a part of that”.’
In 2021, , writing in a scathing post: ‘Louis Walsh at this point only wants acts to manage to make it look like he’s doing something! He’s a cold hearted two faced b***h who uses his powers for his own benefit!’
Jedward also shared a screenshot of an alleged interview with Louis, and added: ‘Louis Walsh wants to make another girlband like Girls Aloud who he told had to lose weight! Don’t get involved with Toxic Management!’
It’s unclear whether the twins were in contact with Louis over the years, but it’s now been made clear there’s no love lost.
During Tuesday’s Celebrity Big Brother, after Louis’ comments, they wrote: ‘Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.’
Their mother, Suzannah, died from cancer in 2019.
They have previously described her as ‘our biggest fan, supportive and wanted us to go out there and express ourselves’.
In further tweets, the official Jedward account claimed they ‘fired’ Louis after he ‘b*****d and talked about us,’ and described him as an ‘evil manipulator’ who ‘tried to make us sign our name and life away… without our mom we wouldn’t be here today! What an absolute weirdo with bad intentions for all.’
Bringing up past feuds, they went on: ‘Girls aloud hate Louis! Jedward hate Louis! Ronan Keating hates Louis! All future acts should be made aware of what this VILE man is really like.’
‘Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren’t going to have our character taken,’ they said, concluding: ‘Justice will be served.’
Inside Louis Walsh’s past feuds
Cat Deeley
This Morning host Cat Deeley came under fire from Louis after she suggested The X Factor should be taken off air, but Louis hit back, telling : ‘I think the truth is that Cat would love to be hosting the show but we have already got Dermot [O’Leary] and he is the best in the business.
‘She can stay on Sky 1 where nobody is watching…It is a bit of the green-eyed monster from Cat… Sorry Cat, we don’t need you.’
His comments came after Cat said: ‘I think every big show like that is cyclical, like Britain’s Got Talent or America’s Got Talent.
‘It was Opportunity Knocks about 25 years ago – they are hugely successful and then people get bored, and then they put them away for a bit, then they miss them, then they bring them back.’
Ronan Keating
Jedward weren’t the only musicians to face Louis’ wrath on Celebrity Big Brother, as he had previously hit out at Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, calling him a ‘p***k’.
Louis told Sharon: ‘Everybody thinks he’s a lovely guy, do you know what I mean?’
‘He hasn’t had a hit record… since I left. He sacked me.’ he said.
Louis managed Ronan after Boyzone, but after the split, said he wasn’t a ‘great talent’.
He previously told : ‘Not at all. He thinks he’s great. He’s a little manufactured pop star who actually believed his own publicity.
‘I used to write the publicity; he was believing it. But the others were not. Stephen was so humble and grateful. But Ronan thought he was George Michael.
‘He didn’t write his own songs. I picked all his songs. I picked every single hit he had. He said he didn’t want to be a karaoke artist. Well, that’s what he is.’
Ronan has also shared his thoughts on their feud in the past, claiming Louis needed to ‘move on’.
According to reports, he said during his Magic FM Morning Breakfast Show: ‘He was very important to me as a mentor and I’m grateful for the opportunities he gave me because I wouldn’t be here without them.
‘But there’s only so much you can give back and be so grateful, and for that not to be appreciated or respected.
‘Really he should just move on and be happy and grateful for what he’s achieved – he’s had a great career. It’s no life to be bitter and talking negatively about people – it festers in your soul.’
He later told The Sun: ‘I don’t have any relationship with Louis. But I don’t think Boyzone would be here today if it wasn’t for the fight that Louis put up for us when everybody else in Ireland laughed and said there won’t be an Irish boyband.
‘We owe Louis that and I will always, always give him that.’
He added: ‘I don’t really want to get into a slanging match because we’ve done all of that.
‘One day Louis is your best friend and the next he doesn’t know you.
‘You never know what version of Louis you’re going to get. You take it all with a pinch of salt. I wish him the best.’
Girls Aloud
Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh claimed that in 2004, Louis praised them for ‘not being fat’.
She reportedly said in a 2017 interview: ‘We were doing our video for Love Machine in 2004 and Louis waltzed in and said to us, “Oh, none of you are fat any more. Brilliant, that’s great.’
Cheryl
Louis took particular aim at Cheryl, reigniting his feud with the singer after she claimed he was never a manager to Girls Aloud and offered little support.
‘We never had management. Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it,’ she told Marie Claire, before adding: ‘We didn’t talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque.’
At the time, Louis hit back at her, rubbishing her comments and brutally declaring they are no longer friends.
‘As far as I am concerned, our friendship is over. I’ve no idea why she’s made these comments but, in my eyes, it says a lot about her,’ he said.
He continued: ‘I won’t stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now I’d give her a piece of my mind.’
He saying in 2012: ‘What is she peddling this time? Eyelashes or hairspray? It’s definitely not her music!
‘At least I am still on The X Factor and happy to be there. I’m a much better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hair pieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything.
‘Cheryl is a great clothes horse. Nice girl, but likes to get her own way. I’ve got two words to say: vocal lessons.’
Continuing his rant, he went on to claim Cheryl can’t even sing live, saying: ‘Has anyone ever heard her sing live or a cappella? If she comes back on The X Factor, she needs to sing live this time.
‘I don’t know why she’s started this war with me. I’ve always liked her she’s a very good-looking girl, but obviously not the best singer in Girls Aloud. Nadine is, I always said that.’
Gary Barlow
According to , Louis told a source that Take That singer Gary Barlow is ‘taking the mickey’ after reports Gary may be leaving the X Factor judging panel.
‘He thinks he’s only really concerned about looking after number one,’ it was claimed.
The insider added: ‘Louis was livid when he found out Gary was arranging a duet with Elton John for himself during one of the final shows.
‘It only confirmed his belief that Gary was thinking ahead to the days he has finished as an X Factor judge.’
Louis was also caught on live TV telling Gary: ‘Get back in your cage.’
Steve Brookstein
has called Louis a ‘c**t’ in explicit social media posts in recent days.
Steve’s fall from grace post-X Factor, after winning in 2004,
He was once hailed the next Robbie Williams by Simon Cowell, with Steve achieving a number-one single and album in his early days after winning the talent show.
Sadly, it wasn’t to last as just eight months after his win, he was dropped from his record label Sony BMG,
He’s since been open in sharing his thoughts on The X Factor, claiming he was badly treated.
He famously claimed that the show was ‘one big theatre’ that had ‘turned music into the WWE’.
Taking to X on Tuesday night, Brookstein wrote: ’20 years ago I said Louis Walsh was a c**t and only now people are realising it. Better late than never.’
Hours later, he wrote: ‘Context is everything. When people slag me off it is generally because I called them out for being a c**t. Simon, Sharon, Louis. All c**ts.’
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
