James Argent was in good company at his latest gig with his ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright coming out to support.
The former Towie star headlined a show at Sheesh restaurant in Essex on Monday night with his group, The Arg Band.
Stars including Denise Van Outen, Fern McCann and Billie Shepherd were among those in attendance to watch Arg hit the stage alongside special guest Megan McKenna.
Notably, his former love Lydia stopped by and was seen hanging out with her fellow celebs before posing for a photo with her ex-boyfriend. In the snap, the pair look thrilled to be in each other’s company with Arg smiling widely as Lydia wrapped an arm around his waist.
‘Celebrating and supporting the showman himself @real_arg @theargband showcase @sheeshchigwell oh what a night, we are very proud of you,’ Lydia captioned the post.
Arg’s best friend Mark Wright joked in the comments: ‘He smashed it but not with his outfit!! Sort that out Lyd,’ in reference to the singer wearing a green shirt with Mickey Mouse on the front.
Lydia, 31, and Arg, 34, were childhood sweethearts and dated on and off from 2008 until 2016 with their relationship highs and lows featuring in many Towie storylines over the years.
However, they have remained friendly since and were last in April.
With the pair still clearly close, many have wondered if there was a chance of a reconciliation but Arg recently shut down any hope.
Speaking on Loose Women in February, he said: ‘Lydia’s one of my best friends. I dropped round a little present for her daughter Loretta the other day, I got her her first pair of Yeezys, baby Yeezys, so Lydia loved that.
‘I was laughing because she went ‘I’ve got the fake ones and my daughter’s got the real ones!’
Pressed on them getting back together, he added: ‘No we were together for something like eight years.
‘And there’s a lot of history there but we’ve made it clear to each other that we’re just so much better off as friends.
‘We want to be in each other’s lives forever, but as mates.’
