Jamie Foxx saved the day in Chicago as he took a break from his recovery to help a woman recover her lost bag.
The 55-year-old has stepped out of the spotlight in recent months after in April, and has been recuperating ever since.
, he still found time to do a good deed as a new video emerged of him greeting fans in Illinois before climbing into a waiting car.
In a clip posted by Barber_Homie_Quan on Instagram, the Django Unchained actor was seen smiling and flashing a thumbs up as fans cheered for him.
Alongside the footage, user Quan Ellis revealed how he came to the rescue over a missing bag.
‘Mom lost her bag in Chicago today Jamie fox found it and brought it to her and he said he feels good y’all god is good,’ Quan wrote.
Jamie was as he enjoyed a low-key boat day in the city, appearing in good spirits as he waved to fans on the riverbank.
News of the Oscar-winner’s ill health first emerged earlier this year when his daughter, Corinne, revealed that he had been taken to hospital.
Taking to Instagram in April, she shared a statement which read: ‘From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,’ she said in a statement.
‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
‘The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.’
Corinne was later forced to share another update after continued speculation over his recovery.
‘My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday,’ she added.
‘Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!’
Nick Cannon recently spoke out over Jamie’s condition and insisted that his pal will shed light on what happened when he’s ready.
‘One thing I’ve always respected about how Jamie’s moved throughout his entire career, if you’ve noticed, he’s always been somebody who is extremely professional and extremely private,’ the dad-of-12 previously told Extra.
‘You don’t ever really hear anything other than just the great work that he puts forth as a professional and the fact that he’s handled this situation with the same manner, you only can respect that.
‘The information that is out there is the information that they want to be out there.
‘I believe when he’s ready, he’s going to address the awaiting fans in the world the way that only he can.’
