has finally opened the restaurant on his Chipping Norton farm, Diddly Squat, as seen in his series Clarkson’s Farm.

The restaurant, which has been given the typically no-nonsense name of Diddly Squat Restaurant, will serve food that’s grown and reared on the farm.

The TV presenter initially had his planning application for the restaurant rejected by West Oxfordshire District Council back in January.

He has faced quite the ordeal to open the restaurant, which was deemed to be ‘out of keeping’ with the local area.

But (presumably) after another bid which appears to have proved to be more successful, Clarkson has announced that the restaurant is finally able to open its doors.

In a statement posted to Twitter, he said: ‘I’m thrilled to announce that you now have a chance to try the amazing food we grow and rear on my farm at the brand new (but quite rustic) Diddly Squat Restaurant.

‘You can’t just turn up I’m afraid, but you can make a booking by following the link’, before leading his followers to the .

Upon arriving at the bookings and reviews page on booking website Open Table, you can read Clarkson’s description of his latest venture.

‘Before making your booking, you should know it’s small, mostly outdoors and very rustic. Ordering a beer or going to the lavatory isn’t as easy as in your local pub and we don’t cater to the faddy.’

The description continues: ‘We’ve done our best to keep you warm and dry, but this is England. On the upside, the view is enormous and almost everything you eat was grown or reared on our farm, so it’s fresh with minimal food miles.’

Fans are already making reservations and are excitedly taking to Twitter to inform Clarkson of their intention to visit his restaurant.

‘I am in Indonesia, but I would like to pay a visit there one day, sir’ one fan commented on Clarkson’s post.

‘Congrats Jeremy. I thought the council was stopping this? Glad to see it’s done!’

Some fans of Clarkson were even offering to share a table at the new restaurant with anyone willing to accept their invitation.

‘Any couple willing to join up to make up a table of four? Me and the other half are miserable b******* with no friends!’

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
