Jonnie Irwin retreats to the bath in pain after, erm, getting stuck in his wheelie bin?

has had a rather eventful weekend which involved him… getting stuck in his bin.

The A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, shared an update with his followers as he retreated to his bath after a rather stinky ordeal.

Jonnie – who has been following his terminal diagnosis – was left in pain after doing some household jobs.

Taking to , the star shared a snap of his legs as he reclined in the tub and watched the Ashes.

His caption read: ‘I went on a jet washing marathon earlier and got stuck in the washing the inside of my wheelie bins.

‘I’m now sat stink and my back is killing me so I thought I’ll have a bath and watch the cricket with your volume down and test match. I’ve made a promise to all stay in the bath [sic]’.

‘The water had now gone rather cold but I’ll be good for my word’, he joked as he listens to the cricket commentary on the radio.

Flocking to the comments section, fans were keen to spread the love.

Jonnie has been with his personal life over recent months after his heartbreaking cancer admission.

The property expert revealed last year that he didn’t know how long he had left to live after cancer in his lung had spread to his brain.

Making last week, he told  at TRIC Awards in London: ‘Today is a good day. Yesterday I peeled myself out of bed and munched painkillers, but so far so good today.’

‘I take every day as a gift and as it comes,’ added the dad-of-three.

Jonnie added that he felt like he could ‘breathe’ finally after sharing his cancer diagnosis from 2020 with the world, two years on.

‘I could talk to people about why I felt ill and why I was losing weight.

‘I didn’t have to answer Karens on Instagram saying, “You look ill”, “You don’t look well”, “You need a cooked meal.”

‘I also wanted to show that because you have cancer it doesn’t mean you are a different person.

‘You can still work. Look at me now! I don’t think the doctors were expecting me to make 2023 but here I am and I’m available at work. And I’m especially available to parties!’
