star has reportedly sent her engagement ring back to , amid claims he took it without permission.
Following the couple’s split after 16 months of marriage, Karen, 41, has been pictured , which was originally purchased for £60 from H Samuel 35 years ago and belonged to Jordan’s late mum Anne.
Jordan’s dad Lee has now claimed that the heirloom was taken without permission, and he only discovered it was not in his bedroom when he saw Karen and Jordan’s wedding photos in Hello! magazine as he didn’t attend.
‘I’m grateful she has returned it to Jordan, but it actually belongs to me — and it was taken from me without my permission,’ he told
Although, he doesn’t blame Karen as ‘she was gifted the ring and it was hers as far as she knows,’ he voiced fears that he won’t ever see it again.
‘Jordan might be my son but he did not have the right to take anything from me without asking,’ he continued.
‘It’s not about the money,’ he insisted.
‘It is purely sentimental value. Some things money can’t buy.’
Lee also alleged that Karen was the third woman Jordan had proposed to with the gold band.
Karen told what the sentimental ring, which Lee predicts is now worth £1900, meant to the couple around the time of their wedding: ‘I know it meant the world to him for me to have it. We’ve since remodelled it together, so that it has the core of his mother’s ring, but also our flair added.’
Lee and Anne married in 1989 but split in 2002. She remarried but sadly died in 2003, aged 45.
‘If things were different between me and Jordan he could well have had my blessing. But the truth is, he didn’t,’ concluded Lee.
Fitness instructor Jordan confirmed his split from Karen last week and partly blamed her role on Strictly.
‘It’s a bit of a love story, a sad story. I’m incredibly sad not to be in Karen’s life, and not be on this journey with her but we’re not right for each other in terms of her career.
‘I will always admire her for her career but it took her away from me a lot,’ he told the
