Yellowstone star ’s character John Dutton is rumoured to be meeting his end in a similar fashion to ’s Logan Roy.
The drama, which premiered in 2018, follows John and other members of the Dutton family, who are the owners of the largest ranch in Montana.
But it has been rumoured, amid ‘friction’ between The actor, 68, and showrunner Taylor Sheridan, that Yellowstone will and that John will be Ki**ed off.
Sources have said that John will meet a fate much like Brian Cox’s patriarch in the hit HBO drama, who in episode 3, to the everywhere.
It’s been claimed John will similarly meet his maker early on in season 5 with the rest of the episodes focusing on the repercussions of his death.
‘The whole team is down in Texas now meeting, and trying to figure out how to do it. I’m sure Taylor Sheridan has it worked out more or less,’ an insider told .
It comes after claims there was ‘tension’ between Costner and Sheridan, with a source, who nonetheless stated there was ‘respect’ between the pair, saying: ‘It’s the same as any showrunner and big star.’
Another insider, who spoke to the, also alleged there was an ego on set: ‘Taylor is the star of his show. He’s the most important person on all of his shows.’
But they added they hoped the ‘friction’ would be resolved because ‘it’s too big a show for things not to be worked out.’
It had been reported that, despite Yellowstone’s rumoured end, Matthew McConaughey was in talks to star in a new show continuing the Dutton saga.
However, in a statement provided to at the time, Paramount seemed to pour cold water over the Costner’s ‘exit’ and the end of the series. It said: ‘We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come.Â
