Although is faithful to his wife, former model Shannon Tweed, before they got together in 1983 – and later married in 2011 – Gene certainly played the field.
By the time Shannon and Gene met, he was in his mid-thirties, which means – assuming he was faithful and they were together without breaks – from the legal age of 16 up until he was off the market, he had sex on average with 277 different women a year.
We’re not sure if there could be a little hyperbole or trolling here, but then again, Gene did also admit to that for him ‘party means girls’ and he described himself as a ‘vulture’.
When asked about the figure in question, Gene responded: ‘I’ve heard all about those numbers.’
Then, asked whether the rumours were true, he simply responded: ‘Confirmed.’
He continued: ‘For me, an insane heterosexual male, party means girls. I was like a vulture, waiting on the sidelines until all the guys got drunk.
‘But the prettiest girls didn’t get drunk so I’d walk in and choose whichever – as you Brits say – birds I liked.’
Although his facepaint, and leather, studded outfits suggest otherwise, Gene also revealed he never drinks, smokes, or gets high.
This comes as the band embarks on their , with Gene citing the reason for their departure from rock ‘n’ roll as being keen end on a high when they’re all still fit, healthy, and sounding good.
Kiss, who are behind hits such as Beth and Forever, is currently comprised of founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, as well as Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer.
The rockers’ world tour is bringing them to the UK next month, when they will perform in Plymouth on June 3, Birmingham on June 5, and Newcastle on June 6.
They will then travel through Europe for the rest of the month, before touching down in London’s O2 on July 2, Manchester on July 7, and Glasgow the day after.
The tour will finish at New York’s Madison Square Garden on December 1.
